Firstly, we must know there is a difference between having approval for what it is done and being contented with the decree of God. So you, oh mystical traveler, may you be content in your heart with the decree of God but you may also ask the glorified God to solve what happens to you. Patience in God’s decree means one must prevent oneself from sharing his complaints with others but not telling God. Thus, we see which prophet Job (Ayyub, PBUH) says his complaints to God: O God! Indeed, adversity has touched me, and you are the Most Merciful of the merciful. God put Job (PBUH) in calamity in order that he turns towards God and asks him to eliminate his difficulties and pains. We also see the prophet Jacob (PBUH) that in the separation of his son Joseph (PBUH), says: I only complain of my suffering and my grief to God. If this act was opposite of the state of contentment and patience he never did it. It is said that one day a mystic did not have anything for removal his hunger so he cried. One who did not have such a mystic perception so blamed him: “Why are you crying?!” The mystic told him: ((God made me hungry in order that I cry and ask him for the removal of my hunger)).
