Changing bad characters to good characters will happen by choosing the virtue exactly opposite of the vice for each one. In the same way which doctors sometimes follow this rule to treat their patients. For instance, for some bad characters the following can help; stinginess will be changed by generosity, anger by patience and bearing difficulties and stifling anger, cupidity by self-denial, gluttony by less eating and hunger, libido by abstinence and diligence, and other characters and states will be treated in the same way. Change in this way for a mystical traveler takes a long time and might not be changed completely from the root. Therefore the best and fastest way of changing is setting the dominance of divine love on your heart, building the fire of love (towards God), burning vices by constant self-observation and demanding the effusion of blessing and spiritual light. Like this, the purity of the heart and worshiping with the base of God divinity for a mystical traveler will happen; there will be nothing left except that which satisfies God and anything that is disapproved and abhorred by God will be purged from him.
